SENIOR CRICKET @ TROJANS

Our Senior Teams

Trojans fields seven senior teams across a range of formats, levels and days — so whatever your standard or availability, there is almost certainly a team for you.

Saturday Afternoons

Our Saturday cricket offers something for every level of player. The 1st XI compete in the Southern Premier League, the top tier of recreational cricket in central southern England, while our 2nd, 3rd and 4th XIs play across various divisions of the Hampshire Cricket League. With four Saturday sides spanning a wide range of standards, every player can find the right level for their game. Our 4th XI in particular has a great community feel, and it is not uncommon to see parents pulling their boots back on and lining up alongside their own children — one of the things that makes Trojans such a special club. We also actively encourage our older junior players to make the step up into senior cricket, and Saturday afternoons are often where that exciting transition begins.

Tuesday Evenings

Our Border League XI compete in the Premier Division of the Hampshire Border League — the top flight of midweek cricket in the county — having earned promotion last season. It is fast, competitive short-format cricket and a fantastic way to play midweek through the summer.

Sunday Afternoons

Our women's hardball team, the Southern Stars, play on Sunday afternoons in Division 3 South of the Hampshire Cricket League Women's competition. The Southern Stars are a joint team with Calmore Cricket Club, and new players are always warmly welcomed.

W10 — Ladies Softball

Our W10 team play in the Hampshire W10 League in the popular soft-ball ten-a-side format. Fixtures are flexible and not tied to a specific day, making it a brilliant option for women who want to enjoy cricket around other commitments. If you are curious, come along — no experience needed!

OUR NEW 2020 CLUB KIT

Excitingly the new club kit is now here. If you are not sure what size or type you should get please check with your team captain.

We look forward to some team photos of you all in kit very soon!

Women's & Girls' Cricket at Trojans

At Trojans, we have been working hard over the last decade to grow women's and girls' cricket, and we are incredibly proud of how far the section has come. From the very youngest players through to senior women competing in the Hampshire Cricket League, there has never been a better time to get involved.

Our junior girls can play in both our open mixed teams or our dedicated girls-only teams, giving them the flexibility to develop their game in whatever environment suits them best. When they are ready to take the next step in their hardball cricket journey, our Southern Stars women's team — a joint side with Calmore Cricket Club — is there waiting for them, competing in Division 3 South of the Hampshire Cricket League on Sunday afternoons.

For those looking for something a little more relaxed, our W10 team offers the perfect introduction to the game. Whether you are taking your very first steps in cricket, returning to a sport you enjoyed years ago, or you were the rounders champion at school and fancy trying something new — or even if you have never considered yourself sporty at all but have spent years watching your children play — the W10 is for you. It is sociable, fun and played with a soft incrediball, so there are no hard balls, no pads and absolutely no experience required. Just come along, give it a go and see what you think. You might just love it. 🏏
