about U15A
WELCOME TO U15s SQUAD
Our U15 section caters for players in Years 9 and 10 and represents a significant step up in the demands and intensity of junior cricket. At this age, the game begins to closely resemble the senior format — players now compete on a full length wicket, with a larger sized ball and considerably faster bowling as the physical development of players at this age brings a new level of pace and power to the game.
U15 matches are played in a hardball T20 format with 9 players per side, providing an exciting, competitive and fast-paced game that really tests and develops every aspect of a young cricketer's skills.
Both teams compete in the Serious Cricket Hampshire Junior Championships (SCHJC):
U15 A — Our A team competes in the U15 Tier 1 League — the most competitive tier of U15 cricket in Hampshire — where players are challenged to perform at the highest level of junior cricket in the county. These are typically our most experienced Year 9 and Year 10 players who are ready to push themselves and take their game to the next level.
U15 B — Our B team competes in the U15 Tier 2 South League, providing a challenging but supportive environment where players can develop their game at the full senior format while enjoying their cricket and building confidence at this level.
All U15 training takes place on Monday evenings at the Trojans Ground, Stoneham Lane, from 18:30 to 20:00, starting from Monday 20 April. Matches are played on Sundays from 3 May onwards. 🏏
