Welcome to Southern Stars
Southern Stars is a women's hardball cricket team competing in the Hampshire Cricket League Women's Division 3 South, playing matches on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer season.
Founded in 2022 as a joint venture between Trojans Cricket Club and Calmore Sports Club, the Southern Stars were created with a clear and simple purpose — to give older teenage girls and young women from both clubs a pathway to continue playing the sport they love, at the level they love to play it. What began as a new venture has grown into a thriving team that goes from strength to strength with every passing season.
The Southern Stars are more than just a cricket team — they are a genuinely close-knit group of players who share a passion for the game and a fantastic team spirit. Whether you are a Trojans or Calmore junior looking to make the step up into senior cricket, or an experienced player looking for a welcoming and competitive team to join, you will find a home here.
